While the flavor and quality of food are generally well-received, a few diners have pointed out that the restaurant might lack the upscale decor that some might expect. This could deter customers looking for a more refined atmosphere.
Additionally, a few customers expressed a desire for clearer signage to indicate the restaurant's separation from the pub area, as first-time visitors may feel confused upon entering.
Our family favourite in Nepalese cuisine, this restaurant is a must-visit. We had the pleasure of dining here recently with friend and we were blown away by the delicious mixed grill and momos we had as starters. This was not our first time dining at this restaurant, and we can confidently say that it has consistently delivered delicious food at a great price. Additionally, there is plenty of space for parking, making it a convenient option for those driving in. The ambiance of the restaurant is clean and functional, with no luxury or frills, but it is welcoming and comfortable nonetheless. The service was excellent, with friendly and attentive staff who made sure our dining experience was pleasant.
It was our first visit with my friends and quite impressed. Food was delicious with an authentic taste of Nepal. Grilled platter, Pork Sekuwa, Goat Curry w/ bone and Rice/ bread, we loved each bites. Team providing amazing service and very friendly. Will definitely visit with my family and highly recommend to all of you 🍻🙏
As soon as we walked in, I knew we were in for a treat just by the aromas and we were not disappointed. Very good prices too, the restaurant and the bathrooms were extremely clean, the servers were friendly and helped me pick a plate according to my preferences.
We frequented The Morris Man one evening as I had heard extremely good things about the food. Upon entering the pub, imagine my horror as I was greeted with what I can only describe as a menagerie of rowdy customers heavily intoxicated and producing a hell of a din. Luckily, upon speaking to the bar staff, it became apparent that the restaurant was in another part of the pub. (I personally would advise that this be made more apparent to people who are there to eat, as it could potentially be off-putting to prospective customers). Now, onto the food. My god.. the food. Originally hailing from The Black Country, I was lucky that these 'Indian Grill' style pubs are plentiful and a staple of the local cuisine. Now a resident of North Staffordshire, I have strived to discover a place I can regularly visit for good Indian Food. After 4 years of searching, I have finally found it. On the good recommendation, I wanted to sample the mixed grill and a curry. After ordering, the food was on our table within 10 minutes, piping hot, complemented by a plethora of sauces. The mixed grill was extremely tasty and probably in my top 3 of Indian mixed grills. We had the 'Lamb Tawa Masala'.. and I am forever grateful to have ordered this. This curry is probably the best curry I have ever had outside of the 'Curry Triangle' of Birmingham in its heyday. The wife had to talk me out of storming into the kitchen like a crazed lunatic and demanding the recipe. Utterly astonishing. I 100% recommend this restaurant, and 1000% recommend the Lamb Tawa Masala as a must try. (Please can I have the recipe 😉).
